The position also emphasizes continued professional growth through goal setting, participation in educational offerings, and contributions to departmental growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives that cultivate nursing-involved Evidence Based Practices. The supervisor fosters an environment of caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors, while promoting interdepartmental and collaborative relationships. Responsibilities also include supervising the use of appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff, managing the fiscal responsibility of the unit, and utilizing standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
