About The Position

Functions as a member of the health care team under the direction of the RN. Utilizing a Patient Focused Care approach, provides sitting services to a specific group of patients within the Trinity Health System. Shifts Available: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am Status available: Contingent/PRN Every Other Weekend and 3 Holidays per year required for Full-time and Part-time team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provides observation following the guidelines as described during department specific orientation.
• Must ensure they are actively participating in a distraction free environment.
• Reports patient care incidents and changes in the patient's condition to the RN in a timely fashion.
• Provides patient care that reflects respect for patient's rights, dignity, values, culture preferences, and expressed needs and attention to providing comfort, relieving pain, and alleviating anxiety.
• To ensure safe patient care experience, incumbent must remain with patient until hand-off occurs.
