About The Position

Watertown Regional Medical Center is NOW HIRING for a full-time Patient Care Partner to join our Float Pool team working NIGHTS! $7500 Signing Bonus! This is a fulltime position working 7p to 7a, 3 days a week. The Nursing Assistant - Nursing Float Pool supports nursing staff by assisting patients with activities of daily living, hygiene, mobility, and basic clinical tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This position contributes to patient safety, comfort, and care coordination while promoting a clean and efficient unit environment. Certification is not required but must meet facility competency requirements. The float pool made up of RNs and Techs that are cross-trained to various departments throughout the hospital. This team ensures adequate staffing coverage for planned and unplanned events and allows the facility to flex staffing between different departments to support the various needs that arise, including Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency, Ambulatory, and OB/GYN.

Requirements

  • Current CNA, EMT, or LPN certification/license issued by the State of Wisconsin.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Prefer 1 year of patient care experience in a health care facility.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, analytical and participative behavior to solving techniques and decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, hygiene, and mobility.
  • Support nursing staff with basic clinical tasks under supervision.
  • Contribute to patient safety, comfort, and care coordination.
  • Promote a clean and efficient unit environment.
  • Provide patient care, environmental, and equipment-related services.
  • Observe and document illness and/or injury.
  • Perform order entry, wound cleaning, patient transport, and room restocking.
  • Maintain equipment and assist with advanced skills such as IV starts, urinary catheter insertions, telemetry monitoring, phlebotomy, vital sign monitoring, ADLs, and EKGs.
  • Collaborate as part of a patient-focused team to provide excellent care and services.
