About The Position

The Patient Care Partner (CNA, LPN, EMT) in the Float Pool at Watertown Regional Medical Center is responsible for coordinating and conducting drug screens, audiometric and respiratory fit testing. This includes scheduling appointments, identifying patients, explaining processes to donors, and ensuring proper preparation of specimens and paperwork. The role requires knowledge of DOT regulations and the ability to stay updated with ongoing rules and changes. The Patient Care Partner will also review policies and procedures related to the drug screening and testing processes, perform clerical duties for the Occupational Health Department, assist with patient activities, and conduct quality assurance activities. Competence in completing vision screens, whisper tests, obtaining client vitals, and performing urine analysis is essential. The position also involves training other associates and acting as a preceptor, as well as scheduling client appointments and maintaining filing systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional commercial, vocational, or specialized healthcare training lasting a minimum of 6 weeks.
  • One year experience in patient care in a healthcare facility.

Responsibilities
