Some of these specialized units include Complex Medical Care, Neurology and Stroke Care, Medical Renal, General Geriatric, Orthopaedics, Trauma and Neurosurgery. Having various specialized units not only allows for Cleveland Clinic to care for even more patients, but also allows our caregivers to choose which specialty they would like to work in. As a PCNA in any of these units, you will coordinate with fellow caregivers to create a welcoming, healing and warm environment for patients. This position offers the ability to pursue educational advancement, higher positions and skills development courses offered by Cleveland Clinic. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Nursing students: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire
  • Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it during your new hire period.
  • State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)

Responsibilities

  • Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN.
  • Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN.
  • Assist with keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly.
