Mercy Hospital’s 8M Medical Oncology & Hospice Unit focuses on meeting a patient’s physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs to improve their quality of life and support their loved ones. 8M caregivers provide care to oncology and hospice patients with cancer diagnoses, chest pain, shortness of breath, COPD, and abdominal pain. Additionally, this unit provides patients with end-of-life care. By joining this team as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA), you will have a strong impact on the patient as you will interact with them frequently and help give them the support they need during a challenging time. In this role, you have an excellent opportunity to start your nursing career and work in a supportive and caring healthcare setting. A PRN caregiver in this position works varying days/nights from 7:00AM – 7:30PM or 7:00PM – 7:30AM.
