About The Position

Join the CentraCare team as a Patient Care Extender in our fast-paced Urgent Care Center located at the CentraCare Plaza. A PCE is responsible for assisting licensed medical staff in the quality treatment of patients and functions as a vital team member in providing patient/family centered care through tasks including wound irrigation, cleaning/dressing applications, crutch sizing, cleaning and stocking treatment rooms, documenting patient activity, and more.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required; can be obtained internally upon hire

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed medical staff in the quality treatment of patients
• Provide patient/family centered care
• Perform wound irrigation
• Apply cleaning/dressing applications
• Size crutches for patients
• Clean and stock treatment rooms
• Document patient activity
