About the position

BenchMark Physical Therapy, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Middletown, DE. A Patient Care Coordinator is an entry-level office role that is responsible for maintaining pleasant and consistent daily operations of the clinic. Our Patient Care Coordinators have excellent customer service skills and learn new things – a lot! The Patient Care Coordinator multitasks in multiple computer programs each day.

Responsibilities

  • Greets everyone who enters the clinic in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Schedules new referrals received by fax or by telephone from patients, physician offices.
  • Verifies insurance coverage for patients.
  • Collects patient payments.
  • Maintains an orderly and organized front office workspace.
  • Collect all money due at the time of service.
  • Convert referrals into evaluations.
  • Schedule patient visits.
  • Create an inviting clinic atmosphere.
  • Make all welcome calls.
  • Monitor and influence arrival rate through creation of a great customer experience.
  • Manage schedule efficiently.
  • Manage document routing.
  • Manage personal overtime.
  • Manage non-clinical documentation.
  • Manage deposits.
  • Manage caseload, D/C candidate, progress note, and insurance reporting.
  • Monitor clinic inventory.
  • Attend any required training with the Territory Field Trainers (TFT) for Raintree and other business process updates.
  • Complete quarterly compliance training.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication skills – must be able to relate well to Business Office and Field leadership.
  • Ability to multitask, organizational detail, ability to meet deadlines, work with little to no supervision.
  • Efficient time management and presentation skills.
