The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and answering phones. Work Schedule: M- F 8:00AM-5:00pm Location: 1501 W. COMMONWEALTH FULLERTON, CA Positions in this function are responsible for checking in, scheduling appointments, answering billing questions and managing patient medical records for a clinic. Roles may vary based on the size of the clinic(s). Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Patient registration
  • Insurance verification
  • Collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments
  • Scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments
  • Answering phones
  • Eligibility verification ahead of patients' appointments
  • Clearing the Pre-Reg Missing Items for Appointments Workqueue
  • Correcting errors in the Charge Review Workqueue and resubmitting encounters for billing
  • Completing items in the four department Front Desk In-Basket Pools
  • Reviewing Solarity batches and distributing faxes as appropriate
  • Appointment reminder calls for all providers
  • Rescheduling bumped patients for providers' time off and call-outs
  • Handling in-person patient inquiries, requests, and complaints
  • Checking in patients
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Answering billing questions
  • Managing patient medical records for a clinic
