About The Position

Intune Physical Therapy has partnered with Spero Rehab to offer physical therapy services to patients in the Austin and Houston, TX areas. Spero Rehab specializes in neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic care, sports injury rehabilitation, pelvic floor therapy, and aquatic therapy, with over 14 years of experience and seven clinic locations. The Patient Care Coordinator will be an employee of Intune PT, doing business as Spero Rehab in this market. This role involves being the first point of contact for patients, creating a positive first impression, and efficiently managing administrative responsibilities to ensure the clinic runs smoothly and patients feel valued. Intune Physical Therapy focuses on building deeply personalized physical therapy experiences, tailored to each individual’s unique story and needs, with a core belief that physical therapy should be personal, offering a personal plan of care and an outstanding patient experience based on personal and lasting relationships. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of medical office or customer service experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems and practice management software
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and positive, friendly demeanor

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Knowledge of medical insurance and billing procedures preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients, verifying insurance and collecting required documentation
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the therapists' calendars effectively
  • Answer phones professionally and direct calls appropriately
  • Process patient payments and manage daily financial transactions
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Manage electronic medical records and ensure patient information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Coordinate with clinical staff regarding patient flow and scheduling
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area
  • Handle general office duties including patient documents and supply management
  • Assist with insurance claims processing as needed
