Requirements

  • 1+ year of customer service experience (healthcare experience a plus, but not required!)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with patients
  • Tech-savvy with basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to stay organized under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Checks out patients accurately and efficiently, collects payments, process copays, balances and bills insurance claims.
  • Can explain exam fees, insurance benefits, and balances to patients.
  • Balance daily transactions and ensures end-of-day reports are accurate.
  • Answers phones, schedules appointments, verifies insurance, and assists with front desk flow as needed.
  • Maintains a professional, friendly, and calm demeanor.
  • Follows HIPAA guidelines and office policies.
