About The Position

The Patient Care Coordinator at OrthoArkansas is a vital member of the Rheumatology team, responsible for delivering a seamless and compassionate patient experience from check-in to clinical support. This role combines administrative duties, insurance coordination, and clinic assistant responsibilities to ensure every patient feels supported—clinically, financially, and emotionally—while contributing to the operational success of the clinic.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Basic: Alphanumeric data entry, document scanning/faxing
  • Intermediate: Microsoft Office Suite, EHR systems

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial counseling, billing, or insurance coordination preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance carriers, benefits coordination, and financial assistance programs is a plus.
