As a team member of our Senior Community Care (SCC) product, we work with a team to provide care to patients at home in a nursing home, assisted living for senior housing. Connecting. Growing together. This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:30am - 3:30pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer 8 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 7:30am to 3:30pm, Monday - Friday.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems
  • 1+ years of experience working in the health care industry
  • 1+ years of experience working with medical terminology
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure
  • Dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas that provides information privacy
  • Residing in a location that can receive a high-speed internet connection
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday with flexibility to work any of the 8-hour shift schedules during normal business hours

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with health care insurance
  • Experience in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
  • Clerical or administrative support background or experience working in a call center environment
  • Experience working with Medicare and/or Medicaid Services

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for other team members
  • Manage the intake of members or the admission/discharge information post notification
  • Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services
  • Manage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
  • Resolve inquiries from members and/or providers
  • Deal positively with members and providers in sometimes challenging circumstances
  • Be the 'go-to' resource for information
