About The Position
Stanford Health Care is seeking Patient Care Coordinators (PCC/Medical Assistants) to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in navigating patients through their clinic visits, ensuring they receive the care they need efficiently and effectively. As a PCC, you will work closely with various departments to provide quality patient care, which includes a range of responsibilities from front desk operations to back office support. The position requires you to float between different Stanford Health Care locations in the Bay Area, including Palo Alto, Redwood City, Emeryville, San Jose, Los Altos, Pleasanton, Portola Valley, Atherton, Los Gatos, and Livermore. The shifts will vary based on clinic hours, typically ranging from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and you will be expected to work 8-hour days. In this entry-level position, you will be responsible for performing clinical tasks and clerical duties that support the delivery of care. This includes rooming patients, checking them in and out, scheduling follow-up appointments, setting up procedural areas, assisting providers during procedures, managing provider schedules, and ensuring timely communication between patients and providers.
