About The Position

CarepathRx transforms hospital pharmacy from a cost center into an active revenue generator through a powerful combination of technology, market-leading pharmacy services and wrap-around services. The position is responsible for performing select activities related to the clinical management of infusion patients including patient supply management, coordinating services with nursing and operations and processing refills under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy customer service, pharmacy technician, and/or other related experience in an ancillary provider, or other relevant healthcare preferred.
  • Infusion pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge in MS Office and PC skills required.
  • Customer Service experience with communication via telephone, e-mail and/or face to face required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience in homecare desirable.
  • Good prioritizing, multitasking, critical-thinking and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to infusion pharmacy teams, pharmacy distribution and operations including evaluating product usage, obtaining and documenting supply inventories and specific supply needs.
  • Produce delivery and pick-up slips, retrieve and distribute various documents and manage equipment within mandated timeframes.
  • Obtain medication profiles and patient updates/assessments and refill medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Provide appropriate and accurate documentation in the patient medical record.
  • Maintain or exceed designated quality and production standards.
  • Collaborate with Reimbursement Department and Distribution Department to ensure payor specific regulations/guidelines are handled appropriately.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service, maintaining a service orientation in all interpersonal relations.
  • Act as a conduit of information between infusion pharmacy, operations, and the patient.
  • Perform in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Perform other duties/tasks as required and assigned.
