This position thrives by adopting a very methodical and precise approach to data entry and record keeping. It places an emphasis on fostering communication within the Practice and carries out administrative tasks pertaining to patient relations.

Requirements

Associate degree or a high school diploma and relevant experience (minimum of 2 years in a customer service role)
Prior dental or medical front office experience
2-3 years clerical experience
Electronic medical record experience and proficient with technology
Experience with medical/dental insurances, ICD-10 coding, data entry, appointment/surgery scheduling

Responsibilities

Assists with preparation, storage, and maintenance of Practice records and reports.
Verifies all information on the patient charts during the checkout process, obtains missing information as needed.
Assists with end of day filing of medical records; verifies all paperwork is secured in chart.
Performs end of day financial task (end of day balancing).
Performs patient check out (obtaining/verifying insurance information, financial arrangements, collects fees, files pre-treatment estimates, balance collections, etc.).
