About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
• 1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills
• Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to travel 10% of the time for coverage at other clinics if needed

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of experience with electronic health records
• 1+ years of related healthcare experience, including scheduling
• 1+ years of experience handling and triaging telephone calls
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to handle cash and perform high volume mathematical computations

Responsibilities

• Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait time
• Completes check-in and check-out tasks including insurance verification and pre-authorizations
• Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts
• Manages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies
• Processes walk-in patients and visitors
• Answers phones and schedules appointments
• Redirects calls and assists callers with questions or concerns
• Manages medical records including filing and scanning
• Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed and processes requests for medical records release
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
• Performs all other related duties as assigned
