Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from an approved program
- Phlebotomy and EKG training and certification
- BCLS Certification and NYS Infection Control Certification
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Experience working with pediatric, adult, and women’s health populations
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and ensure they're fully stocked
- Record vital signs, perform EKGs and venipuncture, and assist with exams
- Help manage patient flow and ensure smooth day-to-day clinic operations
- Support pre-visit planning, lab follow-ups, and referrals
- Register patients and schedule appointments using Athena software
- Maintain and log required inventory, specimens, and equipment readings
- Collaborate with providers to ensure all EMR data and documentation is accurate and timely
