About The Position

The position involves assisting patients with their activities of daily living and providing basic care to acutely ill patients. The role also includes maintaining a safe and clean environment and performing EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the Registered Nurse.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic Life Support certification within 6 months of hire
• PCA/PCT diploma with 6 months to 1 year of previous work experience in a healthcare setting within the last 6 months
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• PCA/PCT diploma with National Health Career Association certification
• EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) certification
• Enrolled in an accredited nursing school program and has completed Nursing Fundamentals level coursework in lieu of PCA/PCT diploma/certification
• Evidence of completion in Nursing Fundamental level coursework
• Evidence of completion in a Nursing Assistant training program
• PCA/PCT, Home Health Aide or CMA experience
