About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Patient Care Associate (PCA) to support a Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit at a healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY. This night-shift contract role offers a consistent schedule and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of a NYS Department of Health–approved Phlebotomy Training Program
• Completion of a healthcare-based EKG/ECG training program
• Active CPR/BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document vital signs; report observations to nursing staff
• Perform venipuncture (blood draws) and operate EKG/ECG equipment
• Assist with patient admissions, including interviews and medical history collection
• Prepare patients for examinations and clinical procedures
• Collect, label, and prepare laboratory specimens (e.g., dipstick, hemoccult)
• Prepare, clean, and sterilize examination and treatment rooms
• Maintain inventory and stock medical supplies on the unit
• Assist with basic wound care and dressing changes as directed
• Escort and guide patients throughout the facility
• Provide compassionate support to patients and their families
