About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Patient Care Associate to join our inpatient care team. This dual-role position supports both direct patient care and clerical functions within the unit, ensuring smooth communication and high-quality service for our patients, visitors, and staff. As a PCA, you will provide high-quality, hands-on patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Duties include assisting with activities of daily living, performing simple procedures, and supporting treatment plans that promote optimal health outcomes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• 1-2 years of experience in direct patient care
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively within a care team

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), or equivalent certification
• Currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing
• Completion of a Medical Terminology course
• 1-2 years of clerical experience in a healthcare setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including ADLs, vital signs, oxygen and telemetry set-up
• Assist with procedures as directed by nursing staff
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate documentation and report observations to nursing staff
• Participate in care team conferences and quality improvement efforts
