About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant (CNA) in the Telemetry Department at Holy Family Medical Center-LTACH in Des Plaines, IL, is responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care to all patients, and assisting in the maintenance of a safe environment. This role operates under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Illinois approved Certification required
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
Nice To Haves
- Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred
- Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred
