About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) role at MultiCare offers an excellent opportunity to support comprehensive health care services for patients and families within the Occupational Medicine team. PCAs assist Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians within the scope of nursing practices. This position is ideal for individuals with strong interpersonal skills who are looking to explore a career in nursing. As a PCA, you will collaborate with the entire nursing staff, encountering daily variety and problem-solving opportunities.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Washington
  • Current enrollment in an accredited RN program may replace the certification requirement
  • For students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program, Registration as a Nurse’s Assistant is required
  • Successfully completed a Basic Life Support (BLS) course for the Healthcare provider and has a current card

Nice To Haves

  • Patient care experience (institutional) of one (1) year or more strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient care as directed by RN/physician
  • Provide assistance through dressing changes, data gathering, documentation and vital signs
  • Partner by implementing a service-oriented attitude, professional integrity, and solid decision-making capacities
  • Effectively prioritize and apply organization and flexibility to work duties
