The Patient Care Assistant position is part of the Med/Surg Department and is a part-time role working 72 hours per two-week pay period. The primary shift is 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM, with a schedule that may include a combination of 12- and 8-hour shifts. This position includes weekend and holiday responsibilities. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, and professionalism
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and commitment to customer service
Team-oriented with a focus on providing seamless patient care

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience and departmental experience preferred

Responsibilities

Perform various patient care activities and related non-professional services to support patient comfort and personal needs
Use a systematic approach to assess patient needs and collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff
Promote teamwork and maintain adherence to all departmental standards
Support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered care environment
