The Patient Care Assistant position is part of the Med/Surg Department and is a part-time role working 72 hours per two-week pay period. The primary shift is 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM, with a schedule that may include a combination of 12- and 8-hour shifts. This position includes weekend and holiday responsibilities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, and professionalism
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and commitment to customer service
  • Team-oriented with a focus on providing seamless patient care

Nice To Haves

  • Hospital experience and departmental experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform various patient care activities and related non-professional services to support patient comfort and personal needs
  • Use a systematic approach to assess patient needs and collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff
  • Promote teamwork and maintain adherence to all departmental standards
  • Support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered care environment
