About The Position

Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a part time Patient Care Assistant in our Inpatient Unit.
This position is part time, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $25.71/hour - $36.30/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or one year experience as a nursing assistant
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Current full vaccination status required

Nice To Haves

• One year of pediatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• The PCA provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned.
• Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families.
• Assists with wound and skin care, keeps unit and work areas stocked, and provides delegated nursing care activities as appropriate.
