Patient Care Assistant
About The Position
As a Patient Care Assistant at CHI St. Vincent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities. This involves directly supporting patients with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding. You will also assist nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms. Success in this role requires a genuine desire to help patients feel better, diligence in tasks, keen observation of patients’ conditions, and an openness to coaching. Requirements
- High School Graduate or High School GED
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days

Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff.
- Monitors and records vital signs.
- Assists in providing personal hygiene and physical care needs.
- Accurately measures, records, and reports intake and output.
- Obtains and records daily weight.
- Performs blood glucose testing using blood glucose meter.
