About The Position

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) plays a crucial role in supporting Registered Nurses by performing routine procedures under their supervision. This position is integral to delivering excellent patient care and aligns with the organization's mission to set a new standard of excellence in nursing practice, emphasizing patient advocacy and innovative care in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Licensed EMT or Paramedic; or
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of patient care experience in a clinical setting preferred; or
  • Nursing student currently enrolled in an approved nursing program; or
  • Current employees who have completed an approved nursing program and are awaiting NCLEX authorization to test; or
  • Current employees who have completed an approved nursing program and have been unsuccessful in passing the NCLEX examination; or
  • Junior and Senior High School Students attending a state-approved CNA training program who are CNAs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Registered Nurses in providing patient care and support.
  • Perform routine procedures as directed by the supervising nurse.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during care activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
