About The Position
The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) position at HSHS Holy Family Hospital is a PRN (as needed) role that plays a crucial part in providing direct and non-direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The PCA is expected to act as a versatile member of the care team, contributing clinical support and offering a comforting presence to patients, thereby helping them achieve their highest level of wellness. This role is integral to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional care and support to patients throughout the communities in Illinois and Wisconsin. HSHS Holy Family Hospital has a rich history of over 145 years of service, and the PCA will be part of a larger team of over 13,000 colleagues who are dedicated to the core values of respect, care, competence, and joy. The hospital emphasizes the importance of patient-centered care and strives to improve processes and outcomes through the latest technologies and treatments. The PCA will also be responsible for assigned preceptor duties as needed, ensuring that new staff members are adequately trained and supported in their roles. In addition to providing care, the PCA will be required to comply with HSHS's COVID-19 vaccination policy, which mandates vaccinations or approved exemptions for all colleagues, except for those in 100% remote positions.
