About The Position

Avita Health System serves the communities of Crawford and Richland counties through three hospitals and numerous clinic locations. The system has grown to employ over 2,200 team members and more than 160 physicians and advanced practitioners, with a mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. The organization is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for its MedSurg Department at Avita Galion Hospital. This role involves providing direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of an RN or LPN/LVN. Responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing personal care and comfort, and helping to maintain a safe and clean environment for assigned patients.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification or within 30 days of hire date

Nice To Haves

• Current Certification as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) or applicable work-related experience working as a nursing assistant
• Previous experience working as a nursing assistant

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of an RN or LPN/LVN
• Assists patients with activities of daily living
