About The Position

Northwest Arkansas Pediatric Clinic is seeking a dependable and motivated PRN PCA/CNA to join our team. The PCA/CNA is responsible for rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, and supporting clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow. This role also includes performing point-of-care testing and assisting providers with procedures. This position provides support during high-volume clinic hours and plays an essential role in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care. Robinson and Terry Payton founded the Northwest Arkansas Pediatric Clinic in 1983 to provide comprehensive care for children from infancy to adolescence. Today, NWAP has 20 board certified pediatricians on staff and locations in Fayetteville and Pinnacle Hills. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for evaluation
  • Obtain and accurately document vital signs in the EHR
  • Verify and update medications, allergies, and patient information
  • Assist physicians and nurses with procedures as directed
  • Perform and document rapid tests (urinalysis, hemoglobin, guaiac, strep, flu, COVID swabs, PCR, etc.)
  • Conduct hearing and vision screenings
  • Support compliance with Meaningful Use requirements during patient intake
  • Review daily schedules to maintain efficient clinic flow
  • Must be able to work well independently and as a team
  • Monitor charge tickets to reflect updates in insurance, patient demographics, etc.
