About The Position

Under the supervision of an RN, assists in assuring optimal patient care.
Reports to: Department Director
FLSA: Non-exempt

Saint Mary’s Regional Health System offers community focused healthcare services
in Russellville; AR. Saint Mary’s 170-bed acute care hospital is a Level III
Trauma Center and offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient services.
Russellville, overlooking 34,000-acre Lake Dardanelle and the Arkansas River, is
renowned for its bass fishing and a state park has two locations providing
everything needed for an enjoyable outing. Mount Nebo State Park offers
spectacular views of the River Valley. Arkansas Tech University provides
cultural and sporting events throughout the year.

Requirements

• Minimum Work Experience: Previous relevant experience or completion of base skills as a registered nursing student
• Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

• Education: High School diploma preferred.
• License: Nursing Assistant Certificate preferred.
• Certifications: BCLS required; Handle with Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care
• Performs specific documentation in the patient's record
• Maintains equipment and supplies and participates in quality assurance
• Communicates appropriate information in departmental and interdepartmentally
• Assists and participates in staff education and pursues continuing education for personal development.
• Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures
