About The Position

We have openings in various departments including Float pool, Medical Surgical, Medical Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit, and Neuro/Peds/Trauma. Staff are scheduled and work in a variety of hospital departments across the NWWI region. The Medical Surgical unit is a 40-bed inpatient unit that cares for a diverse patient population including general medical, general surgery, orthopedics, oncology, and urology. The Medical Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit is also a 40-bed inpatient unit that cares for surgical, general medical, and interventional cardiac care. The Neuro/Peds/Trauma unit is a 40-bed inpatient unit that cares for surgical, general medical, traumas, neurological and neurosurgical, and pediatrics. The skills and responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) align closely with those of a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) and Patient Care Technician (PCT), making this a great opportunity for those with CNA experience. The Patient Care Assistant assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care which supports and complements nursing practice under the supervision of a registered nurse. The Patient Care Assistant carries out delegated skills that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Ability to work in various hospital departments
  • Knowledge of patient care practices
