About The Position

A $750.00 sign on bonus is being offered to eligible new employees hired in our PCA positions. Responsible for the day-to-day care of residents, which includes ADLS, IADLS, light housekeeping, and assisting residents with medications. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Medical Office/Hospital/Managed Care Experience 1-2 years required
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Ability to complete oral and written reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to PCA's and provides department orientation to newly hired PCA's.
• Assist Personal Care Director with shift schedules and bi-weekly payroll.
• Prepare a daily work assignment for each PCA in the absence of a supervisor and communicate pertinent information relating to resident care.
• Utilize chart-to-chart reports to communicate routine reporting to the PCA who is coming on duty.
• Assist with the new resident admission process.
• Ability to follow facility admission procedures and communicate resident admission to responsible party.
• Maintains effective working relationships and open communication with residents, family, and physicians.
• Addresses concerns regarding care and initiate corrective action if indicated.
