About The Position

PATIENT CARE ASSISTANT We are seeking a ICU Patient Care Assistant , sometimes referred to as a ICU Patient Care Partner (PCP ) or a ICU PCA . Our ICU Patient Care Assistant ( ICU PCA ) will work in our hospital’s telemetry unit, providing general patient care while also supporting continuous heart and vital sign monitoring for cardiac patients. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current

Nice To Haves

  • Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
  • Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
  • Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living
  • provides basic nursing care to all patients
  • assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
