About The Position

We have an opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant (CNA/ Certified Nursing Assistant) on our Inpatient Unit. This is a Full Time, 12 hour shift (36 hours per week) position. The hours are 7AM-7PM with some weekend work assignments.. Requirements

  • High School Diploma /GED
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in state of SC
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - or obtained within 3 months
  • Nursing Assistant experience

Nice To Haves

  • One year of pediatric nursing assistant experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned.
  • Organizes and prioritizes workload minimizing/eliminating undue delays, blacklogs, or disorder.
  • Time management incorporates purposeful rounding; hourly during the day and every 2 hours during the night, anticipating patient and family needs jointly with the RN.
  • Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families.
  • Monitors the activities of patients and maintains a safe physical and psychosocial environment.
  • Able to adapt to changes in workload or patient assignments.
  • Assists patients as needed in attending Child Life Activities and special events.
  • Ensures patient care areas are neat and clean.
  • Other duties as assigned.
