About The Position
Patient Benefit Spec Uninterrupted Compassion, Unwavering Commitment! WE are looking for you to lead our team. To assist MHMRTC- patients in obtaining and maintaining SSI/Medicaid and other relevant benefits by screening for eligibility; educating patients on available options; obtaining necessary information and documents; assisting with the completion of forms; providing review/changes assistance; monitoring and tracking progress toward benefit award; and providing representation for patients throughout the application and appeal process. The Patient Benefits Specialist works within the Local Authority and assists those in all service coordination programs including GR/SC, TxHmL, CFC, and HCS with patient benefit information and education on benefits access.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
Nice To Haves
- 1 year experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
