About The Position

The Patient Attendant role at Gundersen Health System is a casual, on-call position within the Patient Experience Department, primarily focused on providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families at the Onalaska Clinic. Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year in a role that works with the public.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Friendly, approachable, and helpful demeanor.
  • Adequate computer skills.
  • Ability to push wheelchairs.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, direct, escort, and assist patients and their loved ones to/from their destinations.
  • Monitor parking and traffic at clinic entrances.
  • Maintain wheelchairs to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service and effective communication in all interactions.
  • Adhere to Gundersen Health System mission statement, policies, and confidentiality standards.
  • Follow procedures to request help for patients and visitors in need of urgent assistance.
  • Respond to customer complaints, concerns, and compliments using appropriate resources.
  • Facilitate check-in and check-out processes for visitors, patients, and other individuals.
