About The Position

Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a Float position in the healthcare department. This role involves working on a PRN night schedule, requiring a minimum of 10 shifts every 6 weeks, with each shift lasting 12.5 hours. The position is available across various locations including Nashville, Murfreesboro, McMinnville, TN, within the Ascension Saint Thomas Hospitals network.

Requirements

• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Remain at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Assist in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and report as appropriate.
• Record all observations.
