About The Position

The Patient Services Ambassador plays an important role in supporting a positive patient experience by proactively engaging with patients across assigned hospital units, including newly admitted patients. This position conducts daily patient rounds using a structured service approach to set expectations related to meal service and environmental cleanliness while identifying and addressing patient concerns in real time. The Ambassador documents each patient interaction accurately and communicates feedback to leadership to support service improvement. This role works collaboratively with Food and Nutrition Services (FNS), Environmental Services (EVS), and nursing leadership to ensure patient needs are addressed and service standards are met. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service skills, a commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively within a team-focused healthcare environment.  At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. Requirements

  • One year of experience in Food and Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, healthcare hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and apply sound judgment when addressing patient needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily patient rounds on assigned units in a professional, friendly, and compassionate manner.
  • Set expectations with patients regarding meal service, food quality, and environmental cleanliness.
  • Confirm that meals delivered align with physician-ordered diets and patient expectations
  • Assess patient satisfaction related to meal quality, temperature, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Evaluate patient room and bathroom cleanliness in accordance with EVS standards
  • Perform service recovery by addressing concerns in real time, which may include resolving meal issues, removing minor debris or trash, and escalating non-food or environmental concerns to appropriate leadership.
  • Document patient interactions accurately and promptly according to departmental guidelines.
  • Communicate patient feedback and findings with Food & Nutrition Services, Environmental Services, and nursing leadership.
  • Follow all facility and departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Support overall patient satisfaction initiatives and quality service delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
