About The Position

Canyon Ridge Hospital is seeking a compassionate and talented Patient Advocate. The hospital understands that not all wounds are visible, addressing issues like depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, addiction, and suicide. Their mission is to be a leader in behavioral healthcare, dedicated to excellent service in the community. Serving the Greater Inland Empire since 1989, Canyon Ridge is a 157-bed acute, locked psychiatric facility offering services to adolescents (13-17), adults, and older adults. They believe in an individualized, patient-focused approach to diagnosis and treatment, recognizing that conditions like anxiety or drug dependence manifest differently in individuals. In cases of dual diagnosis, they provide tailored treatment based on specific patient needs.

Requirements

College level reading, writing, and math skills
Excellent telephone usage skills
Strong verbal skills
Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory standards
Proficient oral and written communication skills
Must be able to demonstrate above average interpersonal and communication skills
Organization skills
Decision-making skills
Planning and problem solving skills
Must be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative

Nice To Haves

Two years of previous experience
Experience in other healthcare related field
Experience in psychiatric setting

Responsibilities

Ensures a Patient Advocacy Program that meets all regulatory requirements while preserving and protecting the legal rights of Hospital patients
Provides regular communication with CNO as concerns / grievances are being handled
