About The Position

The Patient Admissions Coordinator collects, documents and communicates information relative to patients requiring admission to Swedish Medical Center in accordance with established department policies, procedures and workflows. This position will work in partnership with the Administrative Nursing Admission Coordinator (ANAC) and in collaboration with multiple departments, physicians, nursing staff, and other key stakeholders on a regular basis. Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Healthcare related program --or-- 2 years of equivalent work experience in a healthcare setting may be accepted in lieu of the degree requirement or equivalent education/experience
  • 2 years of job related experience (including, but not limited to ED, critical care, call center, front office) in a healthcare setting
  • Applicants without an Associate's degree must have four (4) years of job related experience
