About The Position

The Patient Accounting Representative I - Payment Posting at Bell Hospital is responsible for various cashier responsibilities, including maintaining the change fund, providing change to hospital departments, and balancing the change fund after each use. Responsibilities

• Maintain change fund and provide change to hospital departments.
• Count cash into and out of the bank and complete paperwork for cash transactions.
• Prepare change orders and record hospital departmental deposits.
• Provide customer service at the Cash Office and complete payment documentation.
• Process credit card payments and operate the electronic payment system.
• Download remits and generate necessary reports.
• Perform clerical responsibilities including filing, copying, and telephone coverage.
• Review daily work for accuracy and assist in training new employees.
• Post payments, refunds, and adjustments to accounts.
• Balance receipts and reconcile daily batches.
• Follow up with insurance companies on denials and inquiries.
• Audit provider data and communicate changes to health plans.
