About The Position

Monitors assigned group of accounts to ensure proper and timely processing of medical claims. Reports problems or discrepancies to management.

Requirements

• One year of experience working with third party payors required.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of the insurance certification program required.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls and greets visitors to department within a timely fashion.
• Determines nature of call/visit and provides appropriate response, guidance. Refers more complex issues appropriately.
• Maintains tracking system for assigned areas and reports performance results.
• Monitors and reports issues of compliance and performs necessary research to resolve and implement changes in procedure to ensure compliance.
• Monitors accounts receivable for compliance to contract.
• Monitors assigned accounts for proper reimbursement from all payers and identifies indications of quality problems, and reports these to management.
• Correctly identifies and monitors adjustments to patient accounts.
• Compiles reports to monitor account status and presents to the unit supervisor for review and discussion on a regular basis and reports statistics to management.
• Monitors processes of account representatives and reports discrepancies to CFM supervisor.
