This job coordinates all financial aspects of patient account and assists with financial counseling, billing and collection of accounts. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of medical/insurance billing procedures, including, but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self directed
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proper phone etiquette
  • Handles flexibility, stress, change, pressure to relay information clearly and accurately even under these circumstances.

Nice To Haves

  • Balances accounts, compiles statistics, input data in computer programs and research information.

Responsibilities

  • Distributes, sorts, and forwards accounts
  • Processes claims
  • Manages accounts and follows up with any issues
  • Handles patient inquiries
  • Handles other duties as needed
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
