Patient Account Representative-Special Self Pay
About The Position
The Patient Account Representative will review each patient account in order to determine whether there are any corrective opportunities present before bad debt. This process may require the Representative to confirm applicable insurance coverage or contact the Patient for further information If corrective action is required, the Patient Account Representative will take the appropriate action and note the account Physician Billing and/ or Hospital patient account review Use of IDX and Healthquest software daily The representative will work independently with a variety of duties with minimal supervision. Other duties may be performed
Requirements
- High School diploma
- 0-2 years of prior relevant experience; some roles may require vocational or technical education
- Accounting, insurance and adjustment knowledge
Nice To Haves
- IDX Software experience
- HealthQuest Software experience or similar billing system
- Health care Billing- Physician Billing
- Exhibit flexibility and cope effectively in an ever-changing, fast paced environment.
- Maintaining a customer focus and strive to satisfy the customer's perceived needs.
Responsibilities
