About The Position

Under the direction of the Business Office Director, the Patient Account Rep II will act as a trusted advisor and educator on healthcare related inquiries, including but not limited to billing, payments, collections, and general account inquiries.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service in the medical field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service, resolving patient inquiries and complaints.
  • Provides itemized billing information and documentation to patients upon request.
  • Help patients and their families to understand their statement, answer questions about their balances and facilitate payment options.
  • Accept and process credit card and ACH check payments by phone.
  • Prepare and submit global physician and research company claims timely and accurately.
  • Follow up on global physician and research accounts for timely payments.
  • Accurately document all communications.
  • Review patient balances to ensure accuracy and follow up with patients to obtain payment.
