It’s the way you want to be treated. EOB Review Strong understanding of hospital contracts and payment terms between the hospital and the contracted payer. The ability to interpret legal contracts. Ensure Hospital reimbursement is calculated correctly and contractualized on the account properly. The Team Member will analyze reimbursement to ensure maximum reimbursement was achieved. If reimbursement is underpaid, accurately document account stating how and account was paid, or should be paid, so others in Revenue Cycle can determine the next steps needed to resolve any balance. While verifying payment is correct, also verifying the correct insurance is on the account, if not, update as needed. Identify and report denial or underpayment trends to the attention of management. Assist in educating and training Patient Accounts Team on contract terms. Ensure patient responsibility is accurate in Meditech so patients are not over billed. Required Qualifications: Education and Training: High School graduate or equivalent. Excellent customer service skills. Must be a team player. Must have basic computer knowledge and ability to type. Previous telephone customer service experience required. Meditech and Cerner systems experience preferred. Must be able to multi-task & perform effectively & efficiently in a fast-paced & high volume environment. Needs to have a good understanding of medical insurance. Minimum of 1 year previous hospital or medical office medical insurance experience. Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus. Requirements
