We are seeking a highly organized and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic cardiology office at Catholic Health. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional service and support in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations by managing scheduling, patient inquiries, and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar role, preferably within a cardiology office.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and experience with electronic health record (Epic) systems is highly advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • A compassionate and patient-focused attitude, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the office.
  • Efficiently manage patient appointments and coordinate with medical staff to ensure optimal scheduling of services and resources.
  • Answer high-volume incoming calls promptly, providing information and routing calls to the appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Assist patients with check-in/check-out processes, verify insurance details, and collect necessary co-pays and documentation.
  • Perform various clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, healthcare providers, and team members to enhance patient care delivery.
  • Address patient concerns and inquiries, resolving issues efficiently and with empathy to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional front office environment.
