Remote – Patient Account Representative Pride Health is seeking a Patient Account Rep- Diversified Business for one of its clients in Minnesota. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of an extension with competitive pay and benefits. This is a Fully Remote role. Location – Fully Remote (Rochester, Minnesota) Pay range - $17 to $19 per Hour on a W2. Length of assignment – 6 Months of Contract (Possibility of an extension)Shift – Mon-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST. Job Responsibilities Institutional Insurance and reimbursement expert for one or more of the following business lines: durable medical equipment. Performs all aspects of the billing and collection processes for the individual business lines across the enterprise. These processes include service pre-certification, insurance coverage review, and personal responsibility determination, communications with patients, claim submissions, denial review, rebilling, appeals, and accounts receivable management. Utilizes skills in problem solving, customer service, and communications (verbal and written) in interactions with patients and internal customers to resolve a variety of account, billing, and payment issues for patients, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, technicians, and social workers. Interprets, applies, and communicates the client’s Clinic policies regarding financial aspects of patient care to assure optimal reimbursement for both the patient and the client’s Clinic. Requirements Associate Degree in finance, business, or healthcare-related majors and one year of experience in medical, pharmacy, or durable medical equipment billing and collection activities Or high school diploma/GED with at least 3 years of experience in medical or durable medical equipment billing and collection activities. Qualified candidate must possess strong human relations, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills to interact with a variety of customers and personnel, both within and outside the institution. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Candidate should have experience working with Windows-based software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Internet. Keyboarding experience required. Claims management software experience desired.
