About The Position

The Patient Account Representative is responsible for managing the billing process for a medical physician practice, focusing on insurance payers. This role involves handling outstanding accounts receivable, resolving insurance denials, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures to optimize revenue collection.

Requirements

• CPC/RHIT certification preferred.
• Medical office billing experience.
• PC skills and excellent customer service skills.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Manage outstanding accounts receivable for clients and/or assigned payers.
• Research and resolve insurance denials for electronic and paper claims.
• Prepare and send appeals for payment to payers.
• Identify denial trends to prevent revenue loss.
• Apply credits to appropriate accounts.
• Contact physician offices for information or guidance as needed.
• Follow all policies and procedures.
